While I watched the Vikings Saints game this past Sunday night, I was dumbfounded by one of the announcers. All during the fourth quarter he must have said "Today a star is born in Reggie Bush" close to fifteen times. During that game, Reggie Bush had 12 carries for only 29 yards, 7 receptions for 64 yards, and 2 punt return TDs.

So now tell me. A running back that gets less than thirty yards rushing, 60 some receiving yards, and returns a couple kicks for TDs is now a star? What makes him a star? The fact that he can return a kick for a TD? Wow. Apparently I'm not aware that people now use their first round picks to draft return men. (Side note- Devin Hester was a 4th round pick.)

Reggie Bush is most definitely not a star, but I will say that he does have a considerable level of ability when compared to the running backs that are currently actice. He's no Adrian Peterson, he's no LT, he's no Michael Turner, but he's not the worst player I've seen either.
